This Wednesday is the last session of BOLD and I have to admit I have learned quite a bit. Those of you who are familiar with Keller Williams, KW culture and BOLD know that there are 30 BOLD Laws - truisms that some folks hear and do not take to heart or put in practice. Over the past several weeks I have been focusing on, “Your business grows to the extent that you do.” or rephrased, “My business grows to the extent that I do.”
As we all know, real estate is a relationship business and over the past month, I have been focusing on forming, building and nurturing relationships with old as well as new success partners. Every day, I do what successful real estate agents do, I work my farm. My farm is real estate agents. When I call, I let them know that I appreciate all their hard work and what they go through to generate leads to feed their families and, if they are a rain maker, their team members. Talk about growing. I have grown to appreciate all the hard work that goes on on the other side of the fence.
All of us who work in the service sector need to work our data base regularly. Sure, cards, letters, emails, newsletters and other forms of drip campaigns help - IMHO, nothing works better than the good old, pick-up-the-phone and call campaign.
Bottom line? I am having the best May both financially and relationship wise. Even though we are having the same “thinventory” problem that the rest of the Nation is having, we are thriving. Yes, my business grows to the extent that I do.
And that my friends, is my 2¢’s worth for this evening.
