How Can I Keep Track of the Homes I View?

By
Title Insurance with Title Junction, LLC

If you’re viewing a bundle of homes in pursuit of finding “the one”, it can be a challenge to keep track of all of the details. Was it the first property that you saw that needed the bath renovations or the second? Did your realtor say that one of the properties would negotiate on hiring painters? Was the granite in the fourth home you saw or the seventh?

You may think it would be easy to recall these things but after a few viewings over the course of multiple days, they seems to fuse together. So what can you do to keep track of your thoughts on each individual property? Your Fort Myers Title Company has the answer!

Pictures – Don’t be afraid to take snapshots of the home and its details and store them in a separate file. If you can’t recall something, a visual is more than likely going to ring a bell. Make sure to get a variety of photos that includes the outside, the major rooms, the yard and the extra features you like or see as potential problems.

Notes -Even though a photo will probably sum up a lot, it’s possible that it will still leave room for questions. Jot down how you felt about the size of the rooms once you were in them. Do you have any concerns about sounds? How about smells? These are crucial items that should be on your mind when buying a home and making your final decision.

Organization – The last thing you want to do is mix up all of the information you have physically collected. Make sure your personal inventory is accounted for as well as any contact information you may need regarding questions about the given property.

Throughout this entire process there is a lot to keep track of and finding “the one” is just the very beginning to your real estate transaction. Trust in professional real estate companies like Title Junction to help guide you, your realtor and any other associated parties to the closing table comfortably.
