Since the National DO NOT CALL REGISTRY legislation passed in 2004, telemarketers are not supposed to call us mortals who have asked to be on that list. Generally, if someone calls me, I will ask them to take me off their call list because I'm on the NDNCR. In the past, that worked pretty well, and I had a few years of reasonable bliss.
That was then, this is now. I'm assuming the telemarketer maggots have figured that if they use a robo-digital service that it's not the same as a personal phone call. I've received as many as 20 in a day while in my office. My assistant spends an unfortunate part of her day answering calls that are recorded messages from these system violators. As the day goes along, I hear her phone hit the cradle harder and harder.
So, here is my notice to all telemarketer robo-digital-recorded-message callers. There is not a snowball's chance in Hades that I would ever buy your product, support your cause or use your service. The fact that you have no respect for my privacy, which I have made public by registering my numbers, is proof enough for me to take you off any kind of list that would include employing your services or buying your products.
I personally would like to run a program that returns these calls every 15 seconds for days on end. The calls would have a recording of me screaming into the phone that I don't accept robo calls, but alas, I haven't gotten that far yet. I'm too busy answering robo calls.
