TGIF Concerts in the Parks Series
Begins June 24, 2016 in Carlsbad
The free TGIF Concerts in the Parks are truly a highlight of a Carlsbad summer. Indeed they may be one of the best entertainment options around, and they are starting in just a month!
Great music…beautiful Carlsbad parks…summer evenings…FREE!!
This year will be the 31st season of Carlsbad’s popular TGIF Concerts in the Parks series. This series of free concerts is proudly presented by the City of Carlsbad’s Cultural Arts Office. If you don’t already know, the TGIF Concerts take place on 9 consecutive Friday nights in 4 of Carlsbad’s beautiful parks.
The TGIF Concerts in the Parks are always well attended, with several thousand people and a sea of blankets and chairs enjoying the great outdoors, al fresco wine-ing and dining, lots of kids, dancing, and live music in a wide range of styles. Each TGIF Concert runs from 6 – 8 with intermission.

The quality of the bands has always been excellent, at least from what I have seen and no doubt 2016 will be another terrific series of great music.
Be sure to arrive early to find the best parking in the surrounding neighborhood areas and great seats.
The TGIF Concerts in the Parl offer plenty of dancing, some food options if you don’t bring your own, and abundant raffle prizes sponsored by the Carlsbad Friends of the Arts which help to fund these free concerts and other arts events during the year.
