I am reading all sorts of conflicting information about the direction of our economy; headline after headline just continue to conflict the other??!! So I thought that I would try to stay positive and share a few of the more optimistic articles that look towards a stronger US economy. The first article is about the job market and it surfaces the unemployment rate and how the FED views the US as "At Full Employment" http://money.cnn.com/2016/05/23/news/economy/us-full-employment-williams/index.html?iid=SF_LN and here is an article that talks about the growth and general outlook for 2016 http://useconomy.about.com/od/criticalssues/a/US-Economic-Outlook.htm lastly here is a video from Goldmansachs on the "2016 Macroeconomic outlook" http://www.goldmansachs.com/our-thinking/pages/outlook-2016/?videoId=139052 This is my favorite of the links that I just shared.
With all of the conflicting information I stopped today and thought about my own location and my personal views, albeit skewed and moderately bias due to my optimistic nature and no real education in global economics... But I see thing getting better, stronger, like AMERICA IS ON THE RISE!
I took stock of my location and realized that I am surrounded by local construction and growth. It seems all the major roads are getting worked on, the shopping centers are expanding, I see new local vendors starting to occupy those previously vacant store fronts downtown. New construction and remodeling are both going strong. Here is a link to an article published by Realtor.com http://www.realtor.com/news/real-estate-news/remodeling-projects-popular/
I personally see a lack of inventory in my local housing market and agents once again talking about competing offers on a more regular basis and homes selling in less than a week. Again I am not a financial expert, but I know my local market, I know the inventory, I see the growth and I YES I try to stay optimistic about our great nation. All I can say is; I hope this type of growth is surrounding you as well, and that we as a country are ready to dust off and get back on our feet!
I'll get off my soap box now,
