Almost Wordless Wednesday: Chinatown in San Francisco

Chinatown in San Francisco

A visit to Chinatown in San Francisco is a treat for all the senses, perhaps even a sensory overload - sights, sounds, foods to try, smells from butcher shops and bakeries, the list goes on and on.

Chinatown in San Francisco

This one in San Francisco is reported to be the oldest and largest outside of Asia. Definitely worth a visit and spending a few hours exploring. You can expect plenty of crowds and challenging parking, in my experience, and maybe some tired feet!

Hi Jeff... back in the mid-1970's I lived just a few blocks from Chinatown in SF in the Embarcadero. When I was last there two years ago, I spent an afternoon wandering the streets of Chinatown. (Actually I have clients who are closing on a property here in Charlotte next week, who live in Chinatown.)

I really don't know. It would make sense since, when looking on Google, that movie IS about the Chinatown in San Fran.

It's the only one I have been to, but I think there is a pretty large community in LA also. I liked the one in Boston pretty well, but it's much smaller.

Chinatown is certainly an amazing place to explore...great eye candy and people watching, too!

It really IS a unique experience in so many ways, with some stuff you just don't see anywhere else. Definitely worth visiting if you haven't

You must have fond memories of living there. How cool to have clients from that area? Hope it goes well!

When I visited San Francisco this was one of the places I wanted to see, but somehow, never got around to it.

It's a great place to visit, IMO. So many different things to do and explore. But I may be biased!

Well if you want good Chinese food, not a chain or similar, Chinatown is the place to get it

Next trip perhaps. But there is so much to see in San Francisco and you can't do it all

Chinatown is certainly a place worth visiting at least once, I think.
