No Call News

What happened to the dreaded "no call list"? That's all we heard about a few years ago. Now it's a joke!

Actually, in all fairness, it's not a human being calling me anymore. It's some moronic computer offering to stop calling me if I don't want to be called.

There is a federal register of people who don't want to be called. The computer could cross reference that list in milliseconds, rather than call in the first place.

It was just another government idea with no plan for enforcement.

My phone rings about 5-6 times a day with people trying to sell me stuff I don't want. I learned recently how to "Add to auto reject list" and it is wonderful. It has kept second calls down to minimum.

I find that list to be silly too, my home phone rings all night long, and the other day before 8 am. all by robo-calls.

They not only call my office phone, they also call my cell.  At least on my cell phone, I can block future calls.

Hi Ron - yes the no call list is really a joke.  Although you register for it there seems to be no effect
