The World's Lushest Dogwood Tree!

By
Real Estate Agent with RLAH@Properties AB95346

Just when I thought that the dogwood trees were done for the season, I met this beautiful speciman in Virginia's State Arboretum.  It was tall and lush and looked like it hadn't lost a single petal to the rains from the last few weeks.

Most of the dogwoods I see are in Rock Creek Park.  They get little light and you see a few spindly flowering branches among the tall trees around them.  this tree, on the other hand, gets to soak up lots of sunlight.  And it's got to be really. old.

I do love to see things in nature that get taller and prettier as they age!

What a wonderful tree! Is it silly for me to say that I have many "favorite" trees? I think it goes back to when I worked on my Girl Scout tree badge

The Dogwood Trees on Rock Creek Park in Washington DC are amazing . . .  . and a canopy of color in the spring.

Good luck and success.
