The Town of Castle Rock is located about 30 minutes (29 miles) South of Denver and enjoys a small population of 53,063, which has inched up about 1,000 per year. Elevation of Castle Rock is 6,202 feet above sea level. The median age is 33, and median household income is $85,933. Castle Rock includes Castle Pines, and many rural farm areas outside the City limits.
The Castle Rock real estate market for the month of April reflected a slight decrease over March's sales, showing the market is slowing down just a bit. Days on Market increased from 9 to 10 days
Average Price increased from $397,260 to $400,000
List Price/Sold Price saw no change and remained at 100%
There was one short sale sold and no bank owned foreclosures sold.
(Distressed sales are very minimal as home values have increased substantially over the last couple of years.)
