Don't forget to renew your website domains

Public service announcement:

Don't forget to renew your domains.

They should be on Auto-Renew

And in fact you should register them for at least 5 years.

If you let your domain expire, the registration company could make you pay dearly to get it back. Or, a squatter could buy it holding out for hundreds if not tholusands of dollars to get it back.

Or as in this example a discruntaled former client could do this: http://www.robinsoncorealtors.com/

My service sends many reminders well in advance.  I don't auto renew anything. I also renew for as long as they let me.  10 years once, but I am not sure they do that at the service I use anymore
