Palm Beach Soil & Water Conservation District Appoints Board Member

On May 26th, The Palm Beach Soil & Water Conservation District board voted to appoint Mr. Stephen Jara to fill Seat 3, which had been previously vacant.  Mr. Jara is a Palm Beach County native, born and raised in Boynton Beach.  His father owned a tree nursery and landscaping and sprinkler business and his mother was a Realtor.  Following in the footsteps of his parents, Mr. Jara founded and managed Pristine Properties, a full service real estate company specializing in recreational and agriculture real estate and currently works with Golden Bear Realty and owns a cattle ranch and tree farm.

Mr. Jara serves on several boards and committees, some of which include; The South Palm Beach Chapter Coastal Conservation Association, Snook & Gamefish Foundation, and is past President-Elect for the Okeechobee County Board of Realtors. 

 

“We are delighted to welcome Mr. Jara to the board.  His hands on experience in cattle, equine and nursery operations and knowledge of BMPs will provide great benefits to the District and serve the community well,” said Dave Self, District Secretary/Treasurer.
