Mary, what great pictures of your wildlife in beautiful surroundings! There is nothing like seeing deer safely on the side of the road and hope they scampered back into the forest!

I am right there with your grandson Mary Yonkers - I am always excited to see deer up close. 

Thanks for sharing your experience and you photographs. I have had to collisions with deer and they can do a lot of damage to your vehicle.

I like to see the deer too, but sometimes they are really fast.

The deer are training the drivers to slow down and watch out for deers crossing the road.

I think deer have gotten so bold. They come up close and don't seen afraid like they used to. I know your grandson was excited as mine would have been.

It is not unusual for me to look out my kitchen window and see a dozen or more.  I am most upset about the damage to my garden.

Good morning Mary. Such great pictures. I saw a Momma deer and her baby nursing at Naumkeag on Saturday.

There is nothing quite as delightful as seeing deer in their natural habitat, yet still not far from home.  It never gets old!

I once worked at a software development company at the edge of the Sierra Nevada foothills.  Our building had many exterior walls that were floor to ceiling made of glass windows.  I will never forget a small meeting in a conference room. While there a doe gave birth to twins outside, only a couple of feet from the window.  We sat there in stunned silence, knowing we'd witnessed something very special!

Such cool photos of nature in front of us!  I am sure your Grandson Jacob had a huge smile on his face, I know that kids love this sort of stuff!!!

Lovely photo shots of the deer, Mary. I believe deer believe they have the right of way, since they will jump in front of you.  One has to be careful not to hit one.

Mary, these creatures can do a lot of damage to a car and to themselves.  We have lots of them in my neighborhood, which abuts a national park.  They love azaleas!

They are so cute.  They look a little lost at that moment.  Maybe they took a wrong turn in Albuquerque.
