When It Comes Right Down to It
“I’d rather be a could-be if I cannot be an are; because a
could be is a maybe who reached for a star. I’d
rather be a has been than a might have-been
has been, but a has an are.”
Milton Berle 1908 - 2002, American Comedian
As I see it. . . . . . . .
When it comes right down to it
I rather be a person that has tried . . . . and not yet succeeded then a person that did not try.
I rather be a person . . . . that has been knocked down as a result of my efforts . . . . then a person that did not take the risk to succeed. For I can always get up . . . . and try again.
I would rather stretch . . . . and reach for the moon . . . . and come up with just hand full of stars rather then not have stretched. Because . . . . I can always stretch again for another hand full of stars.
I would rather live my life . . . .and to continue to reach . . . . and try. Rather then to listen to other people . . . . tell me what I can’t do.
Live your life stretching for your goals . . . . and reaching for the stars both are there for you When you’re willing to reach and try.
I rather be me . . . . with a vision . . . . and a dream . . . . and reach for them until I achieve them.
When it comes right down to it . . . . out of all the people I could be . . . . I rather be me.
