Summertime! Time to get outdoors and enjoy time with family and friends. Following is a list of some of the local events you might enjoy...check them out! Pick out two or three or try them all......You just might have a great time! You can call the numbers listed or go online to check admission prices though some events may be free.

Also check out all of the Jersey Shores wonderful parks, beaches and amusement parks for more summertime fun. Our parks offer some wonderful trails for biking, hiking and lakes for fishing, swimming, kayaking and more. Don't forget the Count Basie Theatre and PNC for some concerts or the Blue Claws for baseball fun!

~ Craft Market in the Park at Allaire Sat June 18 10-4 Craft shows, demonstrations & Ice Cream!

~ Base Ball Reenactment at Allaire Sat June 25 10 - 4 19th Century Baseball! The rules are different but the fun is the same. The audience can play in some of the games. Great family fun. $5 admission fee per vehicle.

~ Shakespeare in the Park at Allaire Fri July 8 6:30 to 8:30 Sat Jul 9 6:30 Sun Jul 10 2pm Pack a picnic and bring your lawn chair or blanket.

~ 11th Annual Ducky Derby at Allaire Sat Jul 23 11 - 4 Enter your rubber ducks in the race of the year! Fun day with duck racing, fishing for ducks in mill pond for prizes, face painting and more!

~ 19th Century Barn Dance & Concert at Allaire Sat Aug 6 4- 9 If nothing else this has got to be a conversation starter....after the concert there will be a barn dance! Live string band will perform traditional tunes while we dance by star and candle light!

~ Coast Liners Concert at Allaire Sat Aug 20 7:30 to 9:00 Golden Oldies with an accapella group!

~ Rolling Iron Antique Auto Show at Allaire Sun Aug 21 8am to 3pm One of the best antique car shows around. Over 200 historic cars, fire trucks, family cars, motorcycles and more!

~ Wine Festival at Allaire Sat Sept 3 @ 12 & Sun Sept 4 @ 5 Wineries, food trucks, craft vendors, live bands, children activities and more!

~ 19th Century Fall Harvest Festival at Allaire Sat Sept 24 11- 4 Celebrate the harvest....cider pressing, games, dancing and more!

Freehold Borough Downtown Freehold has great local dining some al Fresco! Summer months bring you Freehold Idol Wed nights through August at Hall of Records, you can also enjoy the Thursday Concert Series from 7:30 to 9:30. And don't forget the Farmers Market every Friday July through October from 10:30 am to 3 pm.

Red Bank

Red Bank has much to offer year round but the summer brings out the best in this quaint little town.

Enjoy street music every Saturday evening through August at various locations through town from 6 to 9.

Want something fun to do without breaking the bank? Come to Riverside Gardens Park on Tuesdays in July & August for Movies in The Park. (Food donations are accepted each week for a food drive) * Movies start at dusk. Also every Thursday in August come hear some Jazz in The Park. Don't forget the Farmers Market every Sunday through November at the Galleria (corner of Bridge and W Front)

~ Red Bank Guinness Oyster Fest Huge food & music festival. Great way to end the summer season. Sun Sept 25 12 -7.

Belmar ~ 732 681 3700 check out the famous NJ Sandcastle Contest on Wed July 13 from 8am to 12 at the 18th Ave Beach or the Friday & Saturday Night Concerts at 9th & Main (check schedule). Take the kids to Movies on the Beach (every Saturday in July & August) first one is ET on July 9. (check schedule for other upcoming movies) Sept 9-12 check out the Belmar Pro Surfing Competition at 16 Ave Beach 8am to 8pm. Sept 17 & 18 Enjoy the Feast of San Gennaro on Main Street.

Bradley Beach welcomes you to the annual Lobster Fest June 25 & 26 at 11 am. Then come on back for the July 3 Fireworks on the Beach at 9.

Delicious Orchards Apple Fest in Colts Neck on Sept 10 & 11 from 11- 4 ~ enjoy delicious food, entertainment and classic cars.

Freehold Township hosts the annual Monmouth County Fair from July 27 to 31. Located at the E Freehold Park Showgrounds on Kozloski Road.

Keyport ~ 732 739 5138 (home to NJ's #1 dinner- Broad St) Keyport Thursdays - free concerts, Farmers Market and on select dates free Kayaking! Lantern Lit walking tours Sat evenings at 8 August through Halloween.

Long Branch ~ Pier Village Free concerts on Thursdays at 7. July 4 Long Branch Annual OceanFest & Fireworks. 10 to 10 Long Branch Jazz & Blues Fest Aug 27 12 to 9:45. Pier Village has great shops and dining.

Manalapan Township ~ Battle of Monmouth Reenactment June 18 & 19 9:30 to 4 732 780 5782 Monmouth Battlefield State Park.

Ocean Grove Quaint town, great beach. Summer Concerts at the Great Auditorium (see schedule for performers & prices). Ocean Grove British Car Show- a day of cars, music and food. Sept 17 10 -4

We have many wonderful parks to explore.....you can go fossil hunting in Poricy Brook in Middletown, ride a great bike trail at Manasquan Reservoir in Howell, milk a cow at Longstreet Farm in Holmdel (offered at certain times), walk a butterfly meadow at Durand Park Arboretum in Freehold Township, or go fishing in Shark River Park in Wall....just to name a few.
