Tourist season in Montana, Bozeman in particular, has flourished over the past several years.  Understandably…it’s a beautiful place to get away with the perfect blend of relaxation and adventure.  It all starts when you fly into the Bozeman Yellowstone International Airport.  You know it’s going to be a special trip as the mountain tops come into view on your descent.  The airport is easy to get in and out of saving you the headache that can come from traveling to bigger airports.  Once you get your luggage and rental car you're on your way with a short ten-minute drive to downtown Bozeman!

Chances are you made your hotel reservations at one of Bozeman’s newest hotels, The Lark or the Element.  These are great choices because they put you right at the heart of town.  From there you can walk to the best restaurants, enjoy our lovely downtown shops, start your days with a coffee from one of the many local coffee shops and wrap each day up with ice cream from the Victory Taco truck or a cocktail on the patio of the Bacchus Pub.

Your days will be full while on vacation in Bozeman!  For the adventurous try a guided white water rafting trip on the Gallatin, Madison or Yellowstone River.  Keep the adrenaline going with a trip down the zip line in the canyon or at Big Sky afterwards.  If you are looking for something a little more mild, you might take the short drive to Hyalite Canyon.  Here the possibilities are endless…hike on one of the numerous trails or rent a paddle board and play on the water.  Be sure to plan some days to just stroll around downtown.  Make a day trip to Yellowstone National Park, you can’t miss that while you’re here!  Take in an event like Music on Main on Thursday nights or an Art Walk on the first Friday of the summers months.  Rent a bike from Chalet Sports or Bangtail Bikes and take a brewery tour of all our awesome breweries.  Have lunch at one of the many food trucks or grab a sandwich from Pickle Barrel.  You won’t regret it.

When the vacation wraps up you will leave wishing you had just a little more time in Big Sky country.  You might wonder if it really isthat fantastic in Bozeman or was it just the magic of vacation?  We’re here to tell you that it really is a lifestyle here.  Yes, we have to work each day like everyone else but we leave work, grab our bikes and take a sunset ride.  We get up early and take a hike or run up the M trail before we begin our day.  Weekends are full of playing in the mountains.  Loading up the camper or boat on Friday afternoon and not returning until Sunday.  Feeling happily exhausted from the weekends adventures and refreshed for a fresh week.  We may not go on guided white water rafting tours, but that’s because we have our own kayaks and just go out there with friends.  If we want something calmer, we grab some tubes and take a leisurely float down the Madison.  We head downtown for Music on Main, but also make sure to hit up the less known, smaller events to avoid the tourist crowds.  We stand in line with everyone else to get an ice cream cone from the taco truck, but also know you can get a huge scoop at the back of Wild Joes and avoid the lines.

So, yes living in Bozeman is like a vacation.  There are the regular life responsibilities but each day you get to wake up to the surrounding mountains under the big blue sky.  You get to work with other fantastic people in the community, play with friends and enjoy the happy Montana lifestyle.  One trip to Bozeman and you’ll realize that a vacation just isn’t enough.
