Joining ActiveRain
Blogging Is Essential According to My Broker-to-Be
At Atlanta Homes ODAT Realty, since Blogging is Essential according to my Broker-to-Be, joining ActiveRain has been a frequent topic of conversation. I have been working as a not-so-Virtual Assistant. I keep the Client Database organized and updated. Not exciting.
I decided that showing and listing homes might be a bit more exciting! Predictions of success via posts online because Blogging is Essential are sung all day every day! So I signed up for Classes to get my Georgia Real Estate License.
In Georgia, you take a 75-hour training program. Then you sit for the Exam at the school. I chose (well, the Broker chose ...) the Georgia Association of REALTORS school.

The online classes include questions and then a test for each chapter. After I finish the online classes, I will take a one-weekend "CRAM" course to get me ready for the exam the week after I do the "CRAM".
Once I pass the exam at the school, three to five days later, I will be able to schedule my State of Georgia Exam. Once I pass that exam, I receive my GA Real Estate License. Next step as soon as I have the official Georgia Real Estate License is to join the GAR and take the required Ethics Class there.
In a way, what I get from the State of Georgia is a temporary license. Within 12 months, I have to take another 25 hours for my license to become final. Don't take that Post-Licensing set of Classes and my Real Estate License will no longer be valid as per instructions from The Georgia Real Estaste Commission.
During all this studying, since Blogging is Essential, my Broker-to-Be is expecting me to get started doing my own Blog posts on ActiveRain at the same time!
At least I may choose from several topics and time-frames for the 25-hour next requirement. I can take "Up and Away" or take "Mastering the Real Estate Game". I a not even looking into the differences in those classes now - first things first - gotta get the license in my hand!
Since Blogging is Essential, I will be investigating many different topics. Little by little I will decide what I want my "niche" to be. Once I know my "niche", Blogging about that begins!
