In this series you’ll learn the easy -- and sometimes not so easy -- basics of marketing your business in a way most agents never even think about. Why? The reason is simple -- most agents are sales people, not marketers.

You see, marketing is the competitive edge that sets the superstars apart from just the average producers.

Think about this...

What’s the difference between the agent who does 100 transactions a year and one who does only 15? In other words, how did the first agent get to 100 transactions a year?

Is he a better negotiator than the other?

Is he better able to sell a home fast?

Does he get more money for his clients than the other agent?

The obvious answer to all of these is “no.” You can be an exceptionally great agent -- one who sells homes faster, for more money, and with less hassle to the homeowner than any other agent. But that doesn’t mean you’ll have a lot of business.

You see, it’s not how good you are at selling homes that determines if you make it to “superstar” status or not.

Agents don’t become superstars in volume by being great for their clients. Sure ... it helps if you are great, but that’s not how you get there.

Agents become superstars by being great marketers. Only when you unleash the power of marketing your business to get more clients can you grow your business to become a superstar.

And that’s what I want to share with you.

So over the course of the next several months I’ll be sharing little known, “insider tips” from a marketing perspective to help you generate more leads and get more clients than ever before. And it doesn’t matter if you focus on buyers or sellers. The principles are the same ... it’s just a matter of how you apply them that determines the type clients you get.

Before I begin, though, let me share a little about me...

I’ve been in marketing all my adult life. I’m a serial entrepreneur and have built a number of businesses ranging from consumer products to nutritional supplements to telecommunications to marketing systems and more.

Over the past 18 years most of my work has focused on helping tens of thousands of independent sales reps apply tested marketing methods to significantly grow their businesses. I’ve coached and guided top earners to help them increase sales as much as 400% in short periods of time ... and I’ve designed fully integrated marketing systems for many others. One system I developed was responsible for the printing of over 6 million marketing cards monthly and generated for millions of dollars in sales commissions to a single organization’s agents.

Since 2012 I’ve focused my efforts exclusively in the residential real estate world. Using the same tested marketing principles I’ve implemented with previous clients, I’ve helped a number of agents increase their earnings by as much as $100,000 in their first year with us.

And it’s these techniques and principles I’ll be sharing with you.
