San Antonio Mexican food is different from traditional Mexican food, or from California Mexican food or
from Arizona Mexican food, and very different from New Mexico Mexican food. It is our own unique blend and I am completely addicted to it. I was orginally not a big fan but boy have I come around.
When I go to Houston or Dallas or even Austin my taste buds really miss it. In San Antonio our food is is just so distinctly different. Locals here often intensely discuss which Mexican restaurant is their favorite.
And loyalities and prices vary widely. I prefer El Jarro, El Chapparral, Taco Taco, the Alamo Cafe or Taco Cabana depending on my mood and where I am showing houses. But I have good friends who disagree and enthusiasticly promote the virtures of their own favorites.
But no matter which San Antonio Tex Mex Restaurant you choose you will enjoy lots of great food and even more our gracious and welcoming San Antonio. Texas hospitality.
