There are certain subjects that escape me entirely. Some of them are things I don't know about because I had little or no exposure to it and other subjects I could care less about knowing. Both come under being ignorant to the first timer and I am at peace with it. What I don't know, I don't know and that in itself is a type of knowing if you choose to believe it

YOUTH IGNORANCE

In my younger years, when I was eager to please for a various amount of reasons, I was not eager to admit ignorance or not knowing. That didn't get you ahead or make your personal stock go up. You didn't boast that you didn't know, but you didn't admit it either

OH THAT?

Today, one cannot hide or manipulate this area we call not knowing. With the advent of the Internet, one can find out many things to be sure. But that doesn't mean you have an intimate working knowledge of the subjects you don't know. Cursory awareness is everywhere and it is cheap.

COME HITHER

When one activates a subject to their liking, as you go toward the subject it comes toward you at the same time. It is powered by a desire and yearning dynamic that if allowed to go full circle will bring about not only closure but a result too. This leads to your purpose another pleasant subject

I CAN DO IT ALL?

This reminds me when I first got licensed as a Real Estate agent. I correctly believed that I was able to do anything Real Estate and on the surface, this is true. In theory, you are licensed to practice but in application, how good are you in the doing of it? Remember, there are so many Real Estate fields to know

I DIDN'T KNOW

When a person admits to themselves and then to others, that they do not know something, this is a honest intimate gesture that leads to being vulnerable and growth at the same time. If in a safe environment, admitting it is less painful. If admitted in a high risk situation, it can burn and backfire

NONE of US KNEW

It is interesting to take a moment & note that we all come into the world not knowing. However, from our first breath, we are introduced to various learning's as they present themselves some direct & some indirect. The body is programmed to develop without your instructions. At some point, you can join it

FAKING IT?

I have admitted not knowing and it has surprised many a person that I did not know. But then, what is one to do when they know they don't know and what is before them is something that requires a knowledge before proceeding or remedying.  Why should I misrepresent? Fake it? Pretend?

YES & NO

Here is something else worth noting. When a person handles correctly their knowing and not knowing when it comes up, their YES or the NO is enhanced considerably. When someone reaches the point where they can command the yes, no, and I don't know dynamics, credibility and confidences soar

SELF-CONTAINED

Amazing how all this is designed, constructed, then implanted into the creation and is allowed to unfold over their life time with little effort. Its programming is flawless as to what it can or cannot do. It is the receiver of it all that can take it where they want it to go using honesty and righteous motives

YOUR ABILITIES

As with all professions, people center or build a life around what they do know, enjoy or are called to do as their inner parts are stirred and their skills bank appears and is unleashed. These professionals are what ordinary not knowing layman, potential clients and principals seek out when they need expertise

UNIQUENESS

Each one of us has a unique set of talents, skills, abilities and gifts that will not only serve our purposes and the purposes of others but also please the one who gifted all this to us. That's how we pay for these precious items. We use them for good and that good returns to the good-maker. All are pleased

TAKE STOCK of YOURSELF

Be quick to state, first to yourself, and when necessary to others, that you do or do not know as it comes up. Then, expect what is yours to come forward, enter in and join you and help to develop the personal self. As a result, your personal stock goes up guaranteed

METHINKS

By the way, I only want to know what I am supposed to know and know no more than that. Filling ones head with data, information, instructions and memories by force instead of by nature and then becoming a great thinker requires high maintenance. People who think to much miss out a lot methinks

We do not know it all.  To think so is to deceive ourselves. You summed it up nicely with this... When a person handles correctly their knowing and not knowing when it comes up, their YES or the NO is enhanced considerably.

Such a great post, Richie Alan Naggar ... you touched upon so many do's and don't of knowing/not knowing .. the thought surrounding them ... and the handling of.  Just superb thoughts here ...

I think too often there is a shame placed on "not knowing" too ... and I believe that's totally wrong.  There is no shame in not knowing.  The shame comes from not doing anything about it.  (If it's something that would be beneficial to know .. or you should know, of course ...)

Hi Richie...the real problem for many, especially newbies, is that they really don't know what they don't know. One good thing about "maturing," shall we say, is that the fear of admitting not knowing something pretty much is gone.
