Client Events (Also Known as “Client Appreciation Events)-
Client appreciation events are just that. An event for the client wherewith you show them how much you appreciate them. You are serving them not the other way around.
Client events are NOT to promote your business. It should be fun and about THEM. This is how you show your clients that they’re more than just money coming in. Client Events should be something your clients look forward to.
Once every quarter you should host a new client appreciation event. They can be as simple or as complex as you want them to be. Download our free PDF to get all sorts of fun ideas for your clients, that don’t break the bank.
Make it all about THEM! They will be constantly asking themselves “W.I.I.F.M.” … “WHAT’S IN IT FOR ME?”
Getting people to attend is easy, and you’ll be surprised how many referrals you’ll get before, and after the event. Many who will send you referrals won’t even show up for the event, but the fact that you invited them is what caused the referral.
Marketing-
You want as many clients as possible to attend. Even if that means taking an aggressive approach to marketing it.
Make sure everyone knows that it is FREE! You want them to feel confident with their choice in choosing you to do business with. Also, it’s important for them to know that you are there at all times.
6 weeks before the client event-
- Choose when and where it will happen (book a venue if necessary)
- Identify who on your team is in charge of the event
- Friend every client on Facebook (this should already be done!)
- Post on social media every 3 days!
- Run targeted Facebook ads to everyone in your system

At the event
At event make sure to interact with all your guests. Take lots of photos! You need to have photos of you with clients and of clients having an amazing time. Make sure you take a picture with EVERYONE. You should also take video of the event. This can be used for future marketing. It shows just how much fun your events really are. At the end of your event you can handout flyers or postcards for your next event. Then you clients and ensure plan for the next event.
After the event
After the event it is a good opportunity to follow up. People who helped plan event, set up for event, and during the event, deserve a hand written note
Make sure to share photos on social media. Also put photos on your newsletter. Make sure on social media that clients are tagged in photos, this helps get the conversation starting on how fun your event was! You can also space out posting the pictures over a weeks’ time to ensure constant traction.
Email everyone the photos and links to pictures. Even the ones who didn’t go, so that they can look back on the fun they had, or the fun they missed.
Last but not least call everyone that showed up, thanking them for coming and invite them to your next event. This is a way for you to personally invite them ahead of time.
If you haven’t downloaded the PDF already, it includes ideas for client events, and step by step guide detailing what you should be doing before, during, and after each event! This can be found on our blog. Which you can find here.
