Wondering About Fireworks Regulations in Clarksville? 
The 4th of July holiday is just a few days away and the fireworks tents can be seen all over town. Clarksville TN has a law that you can't set off fireworks in the city limits. Of course there is an exception to the rule and those periods are before, during and after the Independence Day and New Years Day celebrations.
The City of Clarksville's ordinance is very specific about the setting off, exploding, or firing of fireworks within the city limits. The Clarksville City Council adopted an Official Code for fireworks discharging. Check out the exact wording and rules here.
If you use fireworks in any City Park the local Fire Marshall can cite you and even having them in your possession can get them confiscated. The City of Clarksville Parks and Recreation Department is allowed to use fireworks during some special events in City Parks. One of those special events is the City sponsored event Independence Day Celebration is at Liberty Park on July 3 starting at 6:30pm.
Fireworks Rules in Clarksville TN are not hard to follow. The grace periods allow for frivolity and celebrations around the two fireworks type holidays within the city limits. The City allows you to purchase them any time within the city limits but not discharge them. This has been further clarified by special ordinance to identify certain dates and times where they are allowed to be discharged. You must be at 18 years old or at least 16 years of age under the supervision of an adult to discharge fireworks.
