Seattle Waterfront Living -Seattle waterfront homes

One thing is for sure:  There is a lot of waterfront property in Seattle.  Greater Seattle and all of Puget Sound for that matter offer an abundance of waterfront living opportunities for all of you water babies. Greater Seattle is blessed with an abundance of both freshwater and saltwater waterfront property options. There are lakes - in all sizes, rivers, streams, and the lovely Puget Sound.   There are interesting Seattle waterfront living options including Seattle floating homes

The More Affordable Seattle Waterfront Homes

More affordable freshwater options in the immediate vicinity of the City of Seattle are to the North of the city in Seattle suburbs like Lake Stevens or Lynnwood where you can find cool places like Martha Lake Waterfront Homes or other places around some of the smaller lakes in the area. While to the South, you can find beautiful saltwater properties in Normandy Park and Des Moines. Interestingly enough, some of the most affordable Seattle waterfront homes happen to be right in Lake Union. Seattle Houseboats are a big draw for this reason.  Unlike the more expensive price tag of their floating home relatives, Seattle houseboats for sale usually land in a lower price range. Just make sure to contact an expert on these special waterfront properties because they are a completely different animal (Molly Cartwright 206-841-6800  If you are looking for your own Seattle waterfront get away for under a million dollars, you can see them all listed here: Affordable Seattle Waterfront Homes  You can also reach out to us at

Seattle Neighborhoods With Great Waterfront Properties

You will need to choose freshwater or saltwater if you are looking at Seattle waterfront options. There are three main waterfront living options in Seattle metro:  The Puget Sound, Lake Washington, and Lake Union. There are canals and waterways between these three bodies of water so that they are all interconnecting. The Puget Sound is to the West and there are some great Magnolia waterfront homes with beautiful views of the Olympics, plus you can find waterfront in Ballard, North Beach, Shilshole, and all the way North along the shore.  The Puget Sound coast offers beautiful coastal style living in Richmond Beach, Edmonds, Mukilteo, and Everett as well.

Lake Union is in the center of it all and offers Seattle waterfront properties in the form of lakefront homes as well as around five hundred Seattle floating homes plus an abundance of live aboards, houseboats, and barges.  Further East is Lake Washington which is quite large actually.  Great Seattle waterfront homes can be found in Madison Park, Laurelhurst, Leschi, Matthews Beach, and more.  To the North of Seattle, Lake Forest Park offers fabulous Sheridan Beach Waterfront Homes

The Eastside...

Almost the entire Eastside waterfront community is on Lake Washington until you go further East to Lake Sammamish.  Bellevue waterfront homes offer choices for both Lake Washngton homes and Lake Sammamish homes.  Kirkland Waterfront homes are towards the Northend of Lake Washington.  You can also find some spectacular Yarrow Point Waterfront Homes,  Hunts Point waterfront estates and Medina waterfront homes as well.  Lake Washington offers deep water moorage and luxury homes combined with city amenities you can't beat.
