My First Video Blogpost..There Is A Little Training There If You Catch It! Earth Hour 2008

By

Today I read a great post written by Bob Stewart and deep down I know video will be bigger than we imagined and more important than we care to admit. It makes perfect sense to me since most people are visual. Are you going to be ready for when those days come...those days are very near.

I have been debating on whether to post this video. If you met me you know I am not that shy. But just like many I feel uncomfortable in front of the camera if I know the camera is rolling..I get almost a little too Betty Boopish and when I watch it...I really feel like a fool.

This time I tried a new approach..and this time it was much easier and less painful... 10 Takes later at the end of Earth Hour 2008..I finally got video that I found not to be too embarrassing. A step in the right direction...and for once I didn't wink in the camera or even poof my hair.

I dedicate this post to Sarah Cooper an Desiree Daniels.

Excellent start Midori, now the first one is over, that is the hardest. Great, creative idea. I think I'd like to do one in the dark too.

Great job! I think you should upgrade your camera, to one that has better lighting features. Good job for joining the video gang.

Midori~

I think your first adventure into video is unique...it sort of reminds me of "Dancing in the Dark"...and seems to me you have a point there...sometimes it IS easier to close your eyes (the dark) when you speak...so I guess that process would transfer over to video format... now all I want to know is will you try out this video stuff in the light?? =)

Midori- You did it! You shared a video post with everyone. Now it will be much, much easier. The idea of doing one in the dark was very interesting. I agree with the other comment about Blair Witch Project.... I think that you will be fine when you use lighting! =)

Best,

Midori,

Great accomplishment!  At least you made it and that is the main thing.  I think you need to come into the light now that you made this first attempt and let your market see and hear you!  You'll be just fine!  Congratulations and I look forward to seeing more video from you! Maybe I'll get brave enough one of these days and do my own.

That was funny and what a great idea to get started.  Now you can come out of the dark.  Your voice sounded very professional.  I think you are ready.  I am very interested in the video blogging and hope to attempt it soon.   This was encouragement for me that everyone has to start somewhere.  Thanks for sharing.
