I finally did it. I launched my new website. It's not related to flooring. It's very new and it still needs a lot of work. Currently, it's just one page - a mega article. My site is called Coffee Table Buying Guide.
As the name implies, it's a guide for buying coffee tables. This is meant to be a niche site, so that people can buy items on Amazon...in this case coffee tables. It's meant to be focused on key search terms and in the end, it may be a 5-10 page website. (I may end up adding a 2nd article later today.
I have a lot to do on the site (and it's not like I have much free time). I'm only allowing myself to work on it after my key tasks are done for the day and then doing a bit on each Sunday.
I don't think Google indexed it yet (I submitted it on Monday, but often it can take 2-4 weeks before it gets indexed. I need to work on creating some backlinks to the site (and LOL, this is one of them), so lots of work to do (and of course very little time to do it). I will gradually get there.
I'm hoping that this is the first in a series of Amazon niche sites that can ultimately create some passive income for me. I'm not sure yet if it will really work.
Right now, I'm super busy, but I'm guessing things will slow down a bit around July 4th, so I'll probably get another big chunk done then (including formatting), plugins, backlinks, etc. Also, I set this up myself (using a free theme). I've never done this before, so it's a learn as you go process. If this starts doing well, I will probably pay someone to help make things better.
Feel free to check it out. But, please do me a favor and keep the page open for 2 to 4 minutes even if you do something else at the same time.
