San Antonio does not lack for things to do and see. The Alamo, the Riverwalk, the Historic Missions and the Mission trail, the many and varied charming historic neighborhoods, Fiesta Texas, The Witte and McNay Museums, the Botantical Gardens, the San Antonio Zoo, Sea World, La Villita, the Governor's Palace, the Arneson River Theatre, Fiesta, the San Antonio Annual Rodeo, our city walking trails and golf courses, our baseball and hockey teams and our beloved, Spurs. Plus, I am sure there are many other great local opportunities I have overlooked and did not list.

And San Antonio is surrounded by many charming smaller cities - such as Boerne, Bulverde, New Braunfels, Comfort, Gruen, San Marcos, Sequin, Kerrville to name a few.

And in addition to all our local recreational opportunites we are 150 miles from Corpus Christi and the beach, 150 miles from Laredo and the Mexican border,  30 or so miles to the Texas Hill Country, and there are tons of wineries from 30 to 75 miles from San Antonio. Schlitterbahn which is the world's best water park is only 30 miles away in New Braunfels. Fredericksburg is about 75 miles away and has the LBJ Ranch and the Museum of the Pacific with its treasure trove of historic WWII material from Admiral Nimitz naval records, The State Capital is in Austin as are the LBJ library again only 75 miles away. Houston and Galveston are 200 and 250 miles away. Dallas is only 300 miles away. And New Orleans is just over 500 miles away.

All I am saying is that when you have some free time San Antonio has a wide array of fun things to see and do. As we like to say No place but San Antonio.
