I know a lot of professional Bloggers. I am not one of them, I am a Realtor®
My purpose for blogging is, first to share, second to gain exposure (and of course points!) and third to hopefully create relationships with other professional Realtors® in other parts of the world so we may exchange referrals!
I am not new to the Real Estate industry but I am re-newed in my license status.
I held my license and paid my dues for nearly 30yrs while building a very large manufacturing business.
My wife of now, 34+ yrs was at a complete loss when I asked the question "so what do you want to do now", when we sold our last bit of interest in our company.
She dialed in to Real Estate and also received her accreditation as a staging expert!
After 6yrs she has now become one of our market center's top producers!
I had let my license lapse about 4 yrs ago so had to go back and "earn it back" through hours at school and re-taking the state exam.
The last few years this were fun and exciting as I was a business consultant, video producer for small companies marketing videos, and involved in a host of other endeavors.
What I decided a while ago was, my wife was working too many hours and although I had been pitching in, it was not with the consistency needed to create a sustainable, long term business model.
So back to school I went and am now back in the wonderful world of Real Estate!
So on the the subject of the title above.
Looking back, I have learned, had I been consistent and persistent with any "one thing", I may have been able to achieve even more in life.
While I am certainly happy about where I am, I am also humbled to the fact that I now have to "start over" in my Real Estate career. Many of my friends know me as a consultant, or a marketer, or videographer, or even a re-modeler.
What I have to do now is portray, as clearly as possible, consistently and persistently that I am now, and forever will be for the rest of my career, a Realtor®!
It has been, as I said before, humbling since I know so many people yet do all of my friends think of me when they think of buying or selling their homes?!?!
So into the (Active) Rain I have jumped, and into the world of calling, listing and showing, I go!
I am committed (many say I should be committed :^}) to this industry and will be for the rest of my time in business.
So "do what you love" is what they always say. For if you don't love what you do, do it instead for those whom you serve to the best of your ability and those who you serve will eventually help you love what you do not.....
That is all...... :^}
