Sometimes, you just need a change of scenery. While non-Floridians could never understand the idea of getting sick of the same 'ol beach, we sympathize with you! Now, don't get us wrong, we know the crystal clear blue waters and white sands of the beaches in our backyard are God's Gift to us, but that doesn't mean that we shouldn't explore our surroundings just a bit! Therefore, I wanted to share a few findings from a recent Palm Beach Post article breaking down all the best beaches in Palm Beach County.

With that being said, this week, in a 3-part blog series, I'll be providing you with all you need to know about the 24 best beaches in Palm Beach County. This list will span over the county's 45 miles of beach - from the northern most point of Palm Beach County in Tequesta, to the southern point in Boca Raton.

  • Coral Cove Park, Tequesta
    • This quiet and beautiful beach consists of 15 acres. Coral Cove is great for snorkeling and includes 600 feet of guarded beach that is perfect for paddle-boarding. And, even better, the parking is free! You can also swim with tropical fish, sting rays, sea horses while you enjoy the natural beauty of this hidden gem!
  • Carlin Park, Jupiter
    • This 120 acre park has everything you could ever with for in a beach. Features include: an amphitheater, tennis and volleyball courts, an exercise course, softball fields, picnic pavilions, playgrounds, 26 picnic shelters with grills, and of course, a clean and pristine beach! This parking is free and is the perfect place for your family to gather and enjoy a weekend this summer!
  • Jupiter Beach Park, Jupiter
    • This 46 acre park is great for fisherman, especially for those who would like to cast a line off of the Jetty (open 24-7, might I add). This park also includes picnic areas with grills, a sand volleyball court, and historical references explaining some pretty cool events that took place way back in the 17th & 18th centuries!
  • Ocean Cay Park, Jupiter
    • This is a small, 13 acre park with a beautiful unguarded beach. This park is known for its sand volleyball courts and a pair of exceptional picnic pavilions. Exciting news regarding Ocean Cay Park - designated areas of the beach are DOG- FRIENDLY!
  • Juno Beach Park, Juno Beach
    • This quaint, 5 acre beach is famous for its near 1,000 ft. Juno Beach Pier. This spot is THE spot to catch a sunrise or a sunset and even features a bait shop and a snack bar. However, views like this don't come for free! Admission to the pier will cost you either $4 or $1, depending on if you plan on fishing from the pier, or not.
  • Loggerhead Park, Juno Beach
    • This 17 acre park features picnic areas, a nature trail, and even the Loggerhead Marineline Center - a great educational center that cares for injured sea turtles. This Park is open 7 days a week, admission is free, and donations are encouraged, so volunteers can continue to help our sea turtle neighbors!
  • John D. MacArthur State Park, Palm Beach Gardens
    • This 438 acre state park is the only state park in Palm Beach County. This local treasure will cost you, however, if you choose to visit (which I highly recommend). The admission price is $5 per vehicle (2-8 people), $4 for a single-occupant vehicle, and $2 for pedestrians, bikers, etc. This state park boasts a 1,600-foot boardwalk that allows you to effortlessly stroll from a nature center to a beach of natural beauty. This park also offers trams that will escort you from the parking lot to the beach.
  • Ocean Reef Park, Riviera Beach
    • This quiet, 13 acre park is the perfect place to visit if you want a relaxed beach experience. This park has free parking, and a shady park area loaded with picnic tables, grills and a playground - something for every visitor! This park area leads out to the beach, via boardwalk.

Happy beach going! By the end of this week, you'll have everything you need to pick the perfect beach for you!
