Explore. Dream. Discover.
Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things that you didn’t do than by the ones you did do. So throw off the bowlines. Sail away from the safe harbor. Catch the trade winds in your sails. Explore. Dream. Discover.
- Mark Twain
Our recent trip to Hawaii was more than just a planned vacation. It was a week of vivid sensory delights, chock full of Hawaiian culture. From deep-sea fishing to the reverent Pearl Harbor Memorial to Kualoa Ranch, where more than 50 movies were made including Jurassic Park, Battleship, Lost, Hawaii Five-0. Each day brought something new to add to our memory cache.
Our son and daughter-in-law chauffeured us from one part of O'ahu to Kailua, to the North Shore, introducing us to locally owned and operated diners that served savory fish tacos and pineapple smoothies. Golfing in the jungles of the Royal Hawaiian Golf Club. We also went to Paradise Cove to a festive luau where my husband took center stage in coconuts and grass skirt!
The best part of the trip was the family time spent together exploring, dreaming and discovering while making plans for the next adventure. For now, it is time to turn the sails, batten down the hatches and return to work. Happy sales all!
