Orlando Memorial Sand Castle in San Diego

We took a day and a half to enjoy being tourists in San Diego, and spent some of the time on Coronado Island on Father's Day in the town and at the Hotel Del Coronado.

 

We stumbled across this amazing sand castle memorial to the horrific shootings in Orlando on the beach in front of the hotel. It was very moving, to say the least, and amazingly detailed.

Ironically, Jeff, my "BraPack" girlfriends and I spent the entire weekend at the beach and didn't hear anything about it until days later. We were "safe" from the horrors for a bit of a respite.
