The “Space Coast” is gearing up for the launch of an Atlas V rocket on Friday, June 24, 2016 at Cape Canaveral Air Force Station.

The window is short, only 44 minutes and liftoff is currently set for 10:30am with an 80% chance of favorable weather.

Plan now to watch the launch and bring your camera to take some great souvenir pictures!

I remember when Saturn V took off with Apollo 11. We were near Crescent City (Lake George), we could see the rocket in the sky. It was spectacular!

Fred Griffin I'm not surprised you could see the rocket at Lake George...we have a friend in Boynton Beach who says on a clear day he can see the rockets. Maybe some day you will come see a launch up close and in person!
