This picture is for sale right now on ebay and I admit I am tempted to buy it because it is the only one I have seen with this beautiful building standing alone on the corner of what is now Arch and Spruce. Look at the sidewalk going to nowhere and the dirt streets. The wording on the end is, "Do you know this man with his hands in his pockets?" There is also a little checkmark beside the gentleman. Here's the back of the post card. Note the date Apr 5/09. Be sure to read it. Sounds as if was written by a person with a sense of humor and possibly a preacher because they mention being busy with 8 marriages, 18 funerals and 28 additions to the church. So for the Searcy Sleuths, who have not been worked hard lately, we have questions! Who is the man on front? Which church does this refer to? Who was Mrs. Wood?
Now here is an old blog of mine. Notice the same building in the background with attached buildings now. Searcy was on the grow!
