Saturday Smiles: Santa Barbara Farmers Market Highlights!

The marine layer and fog is back with a vengeance.  Preparations are under way for the Solstice Parade on State Street in Santa Barbara.  The Farmers Market felt subdued and less shoppers were in attendance... Those beets reminded us of the phrase "beet red!"

We loved the watermelon varieties.  The yellow version is very bright!

These peaches were some of the best tasting we have had thus far this season!

Table grapes are starting to show up also!  These are Thompson seedless, they are very sweet and crunchy!

Wishing you lots of Saturday Smiles,

I just sampled some cotton candy grapes that were to die for Ron and Alexandra Seigel. I got about 4 before my grand-kids discovered  them.

Very nice.  I thought of you guys today as I drove by our Farmers Market this morning.  I didn't have my bags or sensible shoes so I didn't stop.

Dick Greenberg like you neither one of us are fond of beets, and we have tried them at the insistence of friends every which way.  We still did not like them...I just liked the color.  It would be a good one to sample for a brand.  A
