Are QR codes a thing of the past

This post is inspired by Larry Johnston post on "Are flyer boxes a thing of the past'? In my area of older retirees many don't even have a computer. Frustrating when you want to email them and can't.Flyer boxes do sell homes here, just put minimal info, so they have a reason to call from their rotary dial phones. They are Buyers!

QR codes never caught on here. Many responded to Larry Johnston post and mentioned them. My question are the QR codes a thing of the past? Did they ever catch on in your area? Your thoughts?

Rob, They never caught on here.  One brokerage uses them on their signs, but that's about all I see of them.  I don't think most buyers would have a clue what they are.

Rob D. Shepherd , Nope never really caught on here either. About the time I started to think about using them they fizzled out. I do use flyers and flyer boxes!

Good evening Rob D. Shepherd ,  Thanks for mentioning my blog.  I'm glad I inspired you!  As far as QR Codes, they didn't do much here either in northern Indiana.

I don't know if they caught on here or not, but they certainly didn't catch on with me personally. I've never even scanned one.

Good morning Rob D. Shepherd ,

It just goes to show you all things real estate vary across the country. We don't see many flier boxes any more only on lower end homes. QR codes fizzled!
