On Sunday afternoons, especially when it's summertime and really hot, people from DC and Baltimore flock to Annapolis. The traffic was like Manhattan during the evening rush hour, and there were more people per square foot on the sidewalks than I've seen since my trip to the Paris flea market.
And if you think about opening a shop in one of the historic buildings, I would recommend an ice cream parlor. The one I saw had people lined up around the block!

I always enjoyed visiting Annapolis, although summer crowds sorta kept me away. An ice cream parlor sounds like a winner - you can never have too many of them IMO
