St. George UT 4^th of July 2016 Celebration: An All-Day Event

This St. George UT 4^th of July 2016 celebration will be an all-day event. The fun will begin early at 6:30 am with the traditional Uncle Sam 4K, followed by an early morning breakfast for everyone. So, get your St. George UT 4^th of July 2016 celebration started off right with these all day events. Choose some or all of the events to take part in. No matter how you spend your 2016 Independence Day, as long as it’s with your local St. George friends and family, it’s sure to be a fun filled day. The St. George UT 4^th of July 2016 celebration fun will be held at the St. George Recreation Center, Vernon Worthen Park and the Gazebo. There will be free admission during the event to the center.

St. George UT 4^th of July 2016 Celebration Event Details:

6:30 am – Uncle Same 4K at the St. George Recreation Center.

7:30 – 10:00 am - Early Morning Breakfast, for a small fee you can enjoy pancakes, hash browns, eggs and a drink.

8:00 am – We the People, the City of St. George 4^th of July Celebration Parade line begins surrounding the streets around Vernon Worthen Park for a patriotic spectacle. Awards will be given for best float in the parade.

9:45 am – National Anthem, can be seen at the main stage in Vernon Worthen Park. And, St. George’s Got Talent will be on the main stage. There will also be a Scavenger Hunt.

9:45 - 10:30 am – Zumba at the St. George Recreation Center.

9:45 am – 2:00 pm - City of St. George Independence Day Fun and Games Extravaganza! Bring the whole family for this fun day in the park. Many activities will be free. However, you can purchase a $10 all-day pass for the fun things that will not be free such as the bounce houses and carousal rides. There will be music, food booths, face painting, cotton candy, watermelon seed spitting contest, potato sack races, bounce houses, water wars, dunk tank, our famous 10- foot Slip-n-Slide and a few new surprises! Indoor activities offered at the St. George Recreation Center which will include Extreme Dodgeball, Kids Crafts Corner, and human foosball!!

Brad Harr and associates presents games at Town Square. Beanbag toss, Cornhole, GaGa Ball, Multi-player Frisbee toss, and many others. Booth games in the park will include Plinko, Spin the Wheel, Balloon Darts and many others with great giveaways.

10:00 am – 2:00 pm – Karaoke at the Gazebo.

10:00 – 11:00 am – Wall Climbing Competition at Vernon Worthen Park

10:00 am – 12:00 pm – Talent Competition at the main stage.

11:00 am to 12:00 pm – Various contests at Vernon Worthen Park

12:00 pm – National Anthem Competition at the main stage in Vernon Worthen Park

12:00 – 1:00 pm – Dodgeball competition, inside the St. George Recreation Center in the Auxiliary Gym.

1:00 pm – Hot dog eating competition at the Gazebo.

1:30 – 3:30 pm – Kids craft corner, inside the St. George Recreation Center.

2:00 pm – Human foosball, inside the St. George Recreation Center, in the Auxiliary Gym.

8:00 – 10:00 pm – A FREE concert at Dixie University Stadium by KONY Country. Gates open at 6:00 pm for first come, first serve seating. Show starts at 7:30 pm with the Color Guard / National Anthem. The Sawyer Brown Concert is from 8:15 pm to 9:45 pm.

10:00 pm - St. George UT 4^th of July 2016 Celebration Grand Finale – The Giant Fireworks Display. A spectacular fireworks display following the free concert. KONY Radio will broadcast live, during the FREE concert at 8:00 pm and will also provide special music throughout the fireworks display.
