Okay, so it's been a busy day at the office, I've been making lots of phone calls, running market statistics, heck there is even a photo shoot here today so agents can update their mug shots, I mean head shots for their marketing materials. Came noon today, real estate had to take a brief backseat so that I could register for the Marine Corps Marathon. The race fills up fast every year. Last year I didn't register in time, so I ran Baltimore for the second year in a row. This year I was behind the keyboard ready to register as soon as it opened to the public. Sound a little compulsive? I think you have to be to run a marathon anyway. Now that I'm registered my wife gets to look forward to another summer of listening to me complain about nagging injuries and watching me disappear on the W&OD trail for hours at a time. I get to look forward to early morning stretching, ice packs, perpetually tired legs, and new found places for blisters. So what's the appeal? Accomplishment! You can't cheat the training for a marathon. You will see who didn't stick to the training plan around mile 20. It's such a great feeling to cross the finish line. (Even if I can barely walk for the week that follows.) -Brian
