Hands down, my favorite singers are James Taylor and Carole King. Sadly for me, I probably will never get to hang out with either of them, but now I could live in James Taylor's childhood home in Chapel Hill! You can now live in the star’s childhood home. Well, if I win it at auction, that is. Just to be clear... This is NOT my listing although it would be a Great one.
Sweet Baby James' home is currently on the market, with bids due by 3 p.m. on June 29. The home has a sleek, mid-century modern look, reflecting that its construction date in 1952. The home sits on an amazing 24 acres in the heart of Chapel Hill and is more than 3,760 square feet of living space. The home and guest house incorporate the work of three renowned architects: George Matsumoto, John Latimer and Arthur Cogswell.
The Taylors owned the home for over 20 years, and James Taylor spent his childhood there. According to an article by Rismedia, rumor has it the singer’s initials are still carved in the back deck.
