The theme for the innovative conference was new technologies and the impact on how they affect and modernize real estate development and home building.

"It was a revolutionary type of conference based on the ideas that were shared," said SmartTouch Interactive Co-Founder, Robert Cowes III.

Robert presented a session on real estate marketing called, "The Future of Digital Marketing - How to Use the Most Advanced Technologies to Connect to New Home Buyers."

He talked about the future of digital marketing, highlighting three trends that will impact real estate marketing. He also talked about what’s working now to help builders and developers sell homes.

Robert began his presentation reminding developers that while the focus is on new and innovative marketing strategies, developers' objective are still the same - they are selling the new home dream for the home buyer or investor.

He then revealed stats about internet and mobile penetration in Latin America. 56% of Latin Americans are connected, spending nearly 8 hours a day online. 2.75 of those online hours are spent on mobile devices.

Robert shared a photo he took when he stepped off of the plane in Panama. It showed three men, online, via their mobile phones. Two are home buyers and one was a potential home buyer.

The three future trends he talked about included:

1.Experiential marketing with a focus on virtual reality. Experiential marketing is all about creating a great experience for your buyer and virtual reality is now being used to sell homes that aren't built yet, to buyers across the world.

2. The Power of Influencers and how important facilitating word of mouth and referrals are. “A brand is no longer what we tell the consumer it is – it is what the consumers tell each other it is.” Scott Cook, Intuit

3. Contextual marketing, using big data to deliver the right experience to the right person at the right time via the right device.

Robert then talked about innovation and what's working now in websites, SEO and SEM, email marketing, marketing automation and social.

Robert's talk generated numerous questions, meetings and request for future presentations. See his slides below.
