EVENT GUIDE: 4th of July fireworks, parades and more!

BOISE
Boise plays host to several family-friendly 4th of July events each year, including the always-popular fireworks show in Ann Morrison Park. Also returning this year, the Kiwanis pancake breakfast and the "We the People" Liberty Day Parade.
Pancake Breakfast
WHAT: The Gem State Kiwanis annual 4th of July Pancake Breakfast
WHEN: 7 a.m. - 11 a.m.
WHERE: Julia Davis Park next to the Gene Harris Bandshell
PRICES: $5 for children 13 and under, $7 for seniors, $8 for adults, and $25 for families. Current active duty military members and their families get in free.

Liberty Day Parade
WHAT: "We the People" Liberty Day Parade
WHEN: 11 a.m.
WHERE: Parade begins at 10th and Jefferson, travels east on Jefferson to 4th Street, turns south on 4th, travels to Bannock Street, turns west, and travels back to 10th Street.

Charity Dodgeball Tournament
WHAT: 4th Annual Charity Dodgeball Tournament, hosted by Boise Parks & Recreation
WHEN: 11 a.m.
WHERE: Shoshone Park, 2800 Canal Street.
The tournament is open to players age 16 and older. A captain's meeting and practice begin at 10:30 a.m., play starts at 11:00 a.m. The cost is $5 per participant.

Fireworks Display
WHAT: 10th annual fireworks celebration
WHEN: Approximately 10:15 p.m.
WHERE: Ann Morrison Park
The fireworks show will be synced to music on 107.1 K-HITS.
Traffic and parking for fireworks
Ann Morrison Park will be closed on the 4th of July to all vehicle traffic except those with disability placards. Disabled parking is provided in Ann Morrison lots off of Americana Boulevard.
FREE public parking will be provided by Boise State University in the Brady Garage (accessible from Brady Street). Capital City Development Corporation is also providing FREE parking all day in downtown Boise in the following public garages:
Eastman: 848 W. Main St.
Capitol Terrace: 770 W. Main St.
City Centre: 312 S. 9th St.
Grove Street: 234 S. 10th St.
Boulevard: 245 S. Capitol Blvd.
Myrtle Street: 789 W. Broad Street
After the fireworks, Americana Boulevard will be closed for about 45 minutes to allow pedestrians to exit the park.
CALDWELL
The City of Caldwell has a full day of events planned this Independence Day. Start off the day with the annual 4th of July Parade, then head over to Memorial Park for plenty of family-friendly fun, then finish the evening with a fireworks display over Brother's Park.
Parade
9 a.m. - Patriotic Parachuter from Skydown Idaho flies the American Flag to the first hole at the Fairview Golf Course to begin the parade. Once the parade is over, the fun begins at Memorial Park.

EMMETT
Emmett's 4th of July celebration will take place in the evening at the Gem Island Sports Complex. Leading up to the fireworks show, folks can enjoy vendors and other fun activities.
8 p.m. - Vendors, food & drinks, dunk tank, face painting, skits by EHS drama students, and entertainment.
Sundown (approximately 10:15 p.m.) - Fireworks display begins
MCCALL
A popular summertime vacation spot, people travel from around the region to enjoy McCall's Independence Day celebration. Featuring plenty of family-friendly events during the day, the party ends with a must-see fireworks show over Payette Lake.
Events start at 11 a.m. in Legacy Park, Depot Park and Brown Park in downtown McCall:

MELBA
Melba may be a small town, but it puts on a big 4th of July celebration each year. The 24th annual "Olde Tyme" 4th of July festival starts at 7 a.m. with a fun run and wraps up with one of the Treasure Valley's best fireworks displays. The theme of this year's celebration is, “Let Freedom Ring.”

Meridian's Independence Day celebration will take place at Storey Park from 3 p.m. - 10:30 p.m. The festival features inflatable toys, food vendors, kids games, live music, races at Meridian Speedway, and a fireworks display to end the evening.
3 p.m. - Event begins with inflatable toys and food vendors available in Storey Park. Zack Quintana Trio begins live performance in the Storey Park picnic shelter.
5 p.m. - Soul Patch begins live performance in the Storey Park picnic shelter.

7:30 pm - Simple Ruckus begins live performance in the Storey Park picnic shelter.

MIDDLETON
Middleton has a full day of events planned this 4th of July, beginning with a firefighters breakfast and culminating with a fireworks display in Foote Park. In between, there are plenty of fun family events and activities, including a kids carnival and vintage car show.

Star's annual Hometown 4th of July Celebration kicks off at 7 a.m. with a breakfast at Hunters Creek Park. The full day of activities and events features the Hometown Parade, live music, a talent show, and a fireworks display.
