Greenbrier Valley Theatre would like to thank everyone who is helping them through this disaster recovery process  after the flood.  We understand there are a lot of needs in this county right now. We appreciate the volunteers who have given their time and talent to help us. In light of recent events, GVT will postpone their 22nd Annual Art Auction to Saturday, September 24, 2016.  GVT is grateful to the artists who have already submitted their works.

At this time artists are asked to delay any donations until August 8, 2016. GVT is thankful for the generosity, however storage is very limited due to the damage in the basement.

GVT's  Mainstage and Educational programs will continue as scheduled.

The loss in our community has been great, and we count ourselves fortunate to call the Greenbrier Valley home. We mourn alongside all of you, and we are confident that as a community, we can pull together and move forward.

At this time, 1500 homes have been destroyed, 100 businessess and 23 fatalities.

Thank you Gita Bantwal The theatre will be operating in sooon.

Gabe Sanders - it will take  awhile  for some areas to recover. Some areas FEMA says will not be habitable for homes. SO many are now having to move from where their homes were.

Sheila Anderson - thank you and please continue to pray for WV. Some people are still missing.

Rebecca,

I am sure a great many things had to be rescheduled postphonesd and sometimes outright cancelled! I hope you are all doing better!

Yolanda Cordova-Gilbert, yes things are getting somewhat better. The towns that were flooded are getting back in shape and businesses reopening.  Still many families without homes.

Those numbers are staggering. My heart sure goes out to everyone in your area. I know you are all beginning to recover, but it will take a lot of time to overcome some of the losses.

Debbie Laity - thank you and it will take a while to recover and more time to overcome the loss of homes and lives.
