What Would You Like To Tell Your Younger Self?
There will be heartbreak, failure, and times of empty pockets. You will get through those times and find out what your character is made of by how you deal with it.
They say an unexamined life is not worth living. From time to time a bit of reflection "looking back" on both our business and personal life is fine. Say for example writing a letter to your "younger self" what you would like to tell them if you could coach them today? I will jot down a few "lessons" that come to mind but feel free to add your own words of wisdom in the comments. We all can learn from each other.
- There will be heartbreak, failure, and times of empty pockets. You will get through those times and find out what your character is made of by how you deal with it.
- All that glitters is not gold.
- Sometimes the end of something takes a lot longer than you think.
- Doors close, but new ones open up sometimes even better than what you had before.
- You can never be too kind. ALWAYS be kind.
- You may find out you are tougher than you think.
- Good times don't last forever, neither do bad times.
- You will find through hard times who you can really count on.
- Loyal friends and true love is very hard to find.
- Do not try to understand people thoroughly. It will drive you crazy. Human behavior "of others" can be incredibly complex. Work on yourself.
- Stop judging others, you have no idea the road they traveled.
- Find your anchors in life, and don't have an anchor in money.
- Know what makes you happy and do more things in that area. Every day.
- No one lives your life, but you, so what you eat, your choices, what you say yes and no to, all land you in some spot, so own up to that. Be one of the few people it seems on the planet that is responsible.
- Do not complain beyond a minimal rant. So many have it far worse than you. Count your blessings every day.
- Go for freedom and significance not success.
AND YOU SAY "what" do YOUR younger self?
