Alameda Point Antiques Faire on Sunday, August 7, 2016
I want to introduce you to the city where I live...Alameda California. It's a city boasting beautiful Victorians, Craftsman, Art Deco, Art Nouveau, and mid-century homes. It's a community with a diverse population and a small town feel. It's a great place to call home. Plus it's an island with beautiful views of the San Francisco Bay, the Oakland Hills, San Francisco and the Bay Bridge.
There are lots of things to do in Alameda. But one of the most popular event is held on the first Sunday of every month. The Alameda Point Antiques Faire at the old Naval Air Base, now called Alameda Point. The Antiques Faire is the largest antiques show in Northern California with over 800 dealers. The Faire starts at 6 am and goes on until the dealers pack up at about 3 pm. The vendors have any imaginable thing you may want.
You’ll have great time people watching, buying cools things, and enjoying great food. Entry fee is $10 before 7:30 am, $5 after 9:00 am. If you haven’t been to the Alameda Point Antiques Faire you are missing a great event. It is located at the end of Main Street at Alameda Point.
Most Sundays, my husband and I arrive at the civilized hour of 8:30 am and usually the faire is already packed. There are booths of vintage and antique decorative items, clothing, furniture, jewelry, art, pottery, books and collectibles and plenty of food trucks.
Please watch my videos of the Alameda Point Antiques Faire. Be warned that the audio is uneven, and the movie is presented in 2 parts for your convenience.
