An Independence Day Thought
“The will of the people is the only legitimate foundation of any government, and to protect its free expression should be
our first object.”
Thomas Jefferson 1743 - 1826, 3rd US President
Principal Author of the Declaration of Independence
As I see it . . . . . . .
An Independence Day thought
People in American . . . . can agree . . . . they can disagree . . . . and they can express their options.
As Americans we have the freedom and the choice to agree or disagree.
There are some people that we disagree with sometimes . . . . and there are others that we disagree with all the time . . . . What is unique in America is the freedom of speech . . . . giving the person the right to speak no matter if we agree with them . . . . or we don’t.
A person’s free expression as been the foundation of America for over 240 hundred years . . . . and with good leadership it will remain for hundreds of more years.
A Independence Day thought . . . . a person’s ability to have free expression is to hear . . . . and see things from different points of views.
