There are together nine different parades took place to celebrate July 4th founders day in the Greater San Francisco Bay Area.  Four in the East Bay(Martinez, Danville, Alameda, and Fremont), one in North Bay (Novato), two in the Peninsula (Red Wood City, 1/2 Moon Bay) and two in South Bay (San Jose-the Alameda, and Morgan Hill, CA). I went to both in the South Bay this year.

This is Morgan Hill's 140th anniversary of the Independence. Freedom Fest’s Fourth of July parade, and thousands of participants and spectators displayed their patriotism like only a small town like Morgan Hill which had continuously since 1876 except brief for World War II interruption. Another parade is called Red, White and Blue roses sponsored by the Alameda Association near Rose Garden in central San Jose, CA since 1901. Here is a b&w clip of 2016 Fiesta del Las Roses parade  (Rose White & Blue Parade).

This year the weather is very mild in the lower 70s and the floats are good. A lot of proud Americans who's relatives are serving the country and vets including Lawson Sakai who served in France during WW2 are in the parade.

I've called San Francisco South Bay home for over 30 years. We love this area and all it has to offer, and I enjoy sharing what I know about homes.  I documented in several books about Silicon Valley history. I have much expertise in real estate...please give me a call. ( Four-O-Eight) 425-1601 Sam Shueh Realtor site

Today one hopes we are celebrating the true meaning of Independence. Sadly I see something else taking place. The challenge is to get back on track. The question remains is that still possible as you look around?

That car is adorable. I'm not sure I'd drive it, but it is quite quite, is is electrical?

Because it was a parade announcement, I could not get the full detail. Looks like electric scooter. Hollister was the Indian Motor Cycle plant before it moved to Tx.
