Hi Mark -  goood reblog by Rebecca Gaujot, the Go To Realtor® -  I know the story.  The only thing is that he refers to it as the colonies and it was the War of 1812.

Vegas, what this act meant to our nation is beyond words.  The courage to walk out to prove somethings worth, not only to you but those around you, knowing death was the reward, is beyond imagination.  I was humbled by this video.  I had not heard the real story Robert Vegas Bob Swetz .  Mark
