There is a difference between a cleaning and a deep cleaning. If you want your home sold quickly and to appraise for a bit more it is best if you go as deep cleaning as possible. I would even argue that this is even more important than staging.
One should attack the job like a spring cleaning and do the things that are probably ignored all year. I will include in this list the top of your refrigerator, dusty blinds, moldy tubs, filthy grout, stained carpet, window ledges, under the beds, and the water faucets just to name a few. I mention these because they are the places that are usually ignored. You may not believe it as a seller, but buyers do look into everything. They figure that if you keep your most mundane things this clean then imagine how good a shape the rest of the house must be in.
Here is a tip too. Peroxide and tea tree oil go a long way when it comes to cleaning and costs very little. You can find some great tips for using these products in cleaning on Pinterest.
