Welcome to the ongoing weekly series called Tuesday Travelogue. We are in our 98th week!
WOW.
Each week, some ActiveRain bloggers are spotlighted to take us somewhere we may not have been on some kind of virtual travel (and it doesn't cost a dime!). Here is the purpose:
to enjoy the ride"
"take a trip without even leaving the farm"
"expand your horizons"
"see through someone else's eyes"
and hopefully much more!
July 4th was celebrated in a very special way for new citizens. They also celebrated in some very special places, National Parks across America in celebration of their 100th year birthday of the National Park Service!
Here is what National Park Service Director, Jonathan Jarvis had to say about the partnership:
"I can't think of places more appropriate to welcome our newest citizens than national parks," said National Park Service Director Jonathan Jarvis. "National parks preserve significant natural resources and cultural heritage sites and are places where one can learn about and reflect on the American identity and the responsibilities of citizenship."

Citizenship Ceremonies happened around the country like the Grand Canyon National Park. Josee-Marie Hoyt explains a past anniversary.
Valley Forge National Park was one of the selected parks. Here is a wonderful past July 4th blogpost written about what fun you can have there brought to you by Nick and Trudy Vanderkar.
My own Oregon Crater Lake National Park was host as well.

Glacier National Park will be a host in August. Liz Flint describes her husband's love of trains and how he got his fix here!

Lottie Kendall shows us a lovely video of her hike at Yosemite National Park, another venue for new citizens sworn in coming in August!
Please don't forget to comment on these blog posts and I hope that you enjoyed all of these virtual travels.
