It's Hot In Lake Arrowhead This Summer
Lake Arrowhead, California is hot, hot, hot this summer. Not just the beautiful warm weather, which is actually quite mild, but real estate and activities. Nowhere else I'd rather spend my summer than the mountain jewel of Lake Arrowhead.

Weather
Lake Arrowhead is located at about 5100 feet above sea level in the San Bernardino Mountains of Southern California. High enough to see snow in the winter and mild temperatures in the summer...yet not so high that either season becomes extreme. While most of Southern California suffers through the June Gloom of fog and cold...Lake Arrowhead starts it's summer weather in May and sees temps from 75-90 until October. Evenings typically cool off comfortably to allow for that fire pit S'mores and ghost stories.
Condos, Cabins and Castles
Lake Arrowhead has a variety of housing options. To have use of the Lake, you must own inside The Woods and belong to the Arrowhead Lake Association. HOA is $60/year and allows use of the trails, lake and the ability to put a boat on the lake or join the swim clubs. Well worth the small price.
Homes can range from condos to large lake front estates. Prices are reasonable for Southern California and since Lake Arrowhead is only 20 minutes to the bottom of the hill, many residents commute to other parts of Southern California.
Activities
Oh where to start? I suppose it makes sense to start with the Lake itself. Lake Arrowhead has a private (residents only) lake which allows boating, sailing, kayaking, wake boarding, paddle boarding and swimming. The Lake is stocked several times a year to renew it's fish population of Bass and Trout, so fishing is always good.
If the water is not your taste, Lake Arrowhead borders the National Forest. There are miles of trails for hiking, mountain biking, motorcycling, ATV use and of course....jeeping. Everything from the bouncy green trails to the challenging black diamonds can be accessed from numerous points in Lake Arrowhead.
The hottest activity this summer in Lake Arrowhead, California could be doing absolutely nothing. Fun, sun and a beautiful place to enjoy everything, or nothing.
