YouTube Lauren Selinsky in Laguna Beach | My social media success
Social Media is a bad word for many. Comments such as, " I am not going to get on social media and post my business". Well, which business? The business you are trying to promote and be successful in your career? Or your personal business? Well, wake up! Social Media is reaching over billions of people! Yes! Billions. I knew that social media was my ride to the top.
It just took one person>>> watching my video on YouTube and the phone rang on a sunny day in Orange County. Then again, it is always sunny here..... My client, Ms. Katy (changed for privacy) contacted me because her grandmother passed away and she would be traveling to Laguna Beach and will need to sell her property once she finishes handling estate issues. Two weeks later, we had the property up, sold at full price of $2.2M from a neighbor that wanted a house on that street for his sister. Literally, from the initial phone call, we closed 14 days later. To this day I will never forget when my husband got upset because I was video taping that day and I was on my phone. He asked me, "WHY can't you stay off your phone?" I said, "zip it, it is a beautiful day and I want to post on my YouTube". I am so glad I did.
Let's also NOT FORGET!!! When you have a listing, Google the address, you will definitely get top 3 with your YouTube video in the search. Therefore, getting new clients.
Do you ask your client how they found you?
My assistant always asks my clients at the end of our escrow how they were referred to us or how did they get our contact info. Ms. Katy said she googled my name after reviewing my Laguna Beach video. I was promoting localism and I have gained numerous clients, but this one is the largest to date, through social media.

Did you think television was the best way to reach the masses? Well if you’re after 18–34 year old in the U.S., you will have more luck reaching them through YouTube. Of course, one video won’t necessarily reach more viewers than a cable network could, but utilizing a social media platform with such a wide user base makes a much sense. Guess how old my client is? 33
And if that's not enough, guess what Twitter is doing in the US?
