In a recent article on hackers, published by FloridaRealtors.org Android owners are being warned that at least 10 million devices have been infected with malware called HummingBad!
The app generates income by forcing downloads of apps, advertise clicking as well as selling access to the hacked phones to others!
Has your phone become a victim of this malware?
Have you protected your phone with a virus protection app?
Do you click on things just to see what they are?
Here are tips to avoid being a victim of malware on your phone as well as your computer:
- Avoid clicking on ads that appear in your apps or your email or when surfing the web
- Curiosity killed the cat as they say, it will also kill your phone and computer!
- Pay attention and monitor what others who use your computers and phones do with them - children are often the cause of malware infections as they trust everything they see on the internet and have their eyes plastered to smart phones
- Download and keep updated virus protection software both on your phone and your computer!
Hopefully, this will help some stay safe and malware and virus free.
